I have found toads are very helpful in my backyard garden- they eat ants and slugs, and I think even caterpillars. I want to attract more toads to my garden- and get them to stay?
How can i make my garden more toad-friendly?

Three things:
Pond (for breeding) If you make a pond for them grow some plants around the edge and leave the area around it to grow a bit wild. They like it like that.
Log pile (for hiding in)
Wildlife area (left to nature) So that they ccan hide in it and find plenty of wild food there.
Good luck and happy toading!
Also don’t use slug pellets, pesticides, or artificial fertilisers as they can poison toads.
Ponds are great, Or even put in a large sort of plastic box into the ground, fill with water for them to cool down in

As its summer, they need somewhere cool with water.
Keep an area very damp, with log piles and compost heaps.
Longer grass is good, Just keep your garden/a part of your garden very soggy and damp
We get them after heavy rain
I found a great site for you about attracting toads to your garden:http://www.toadilytoads.com/gardentoads.…
