I’m in Southeast Tennessee, it doesn’t rain much. My garden is in direct sun for most of the day. It has 7 inches of a compost/manure and is mulched with straw. I have a soaker hose.
About how many inches should it get?
Should I water every day, every other, or once a week?

Water at dusk,or when it’s cooler.Water well, two to three times a week.If it gets really hot have you thought of putting some sort of shade over the garden?Or over the vunerable plants.

soak it after the sun goes down or gets lower in the sky, soak it enough so you can see puddles in the row. Do this ever 4-5 days.

all I now is if I water too much the leaves get yellow and if I don’t water enough they get yellow,I don’t know which way to go I was told plants in pots should be watered every day

You should wait for sunset and water it everyday..
